The main characters of the film are a group of journalists from a major newspaper in American Boston. One day, a letter arrives at the editorial office, in which shocking information is voiced. An unknown sender wrote that terrible things were happening in one of the local churches. Namely, the priest of this church has been corrupting young boys for 30 years. Indirect evidence of what is happening is attached to the letter, and the reporters decide to launch their own investigation to get to the truth. After reviewing the priest's biography, they found out that he had already been suspected of committing such crimes more than once. But each time he was either scolded by lawyers, or the Church stood up for him.<br />

Continuing their investigation, the journalists find more shocking facts. It turns out that the cases in this particular church are not isolated. The same thing is happening in many parishes. But again, either there is no direct evidence, or skilful lawyers and senior priests are letting things slide. But our heroes are not going to remain silent and intend to publish the results of their investigations. And that's when scary things start happening to them.
